Malmo Travel and Transport: Photo of the famous Oresund BridgeWhilst Sturup Airport is a major Swedish transport hub close to the city of Malmo, visitors will also find that Copenhagen's primary airport is linked by train travel, offering a journey time of only 35 minutes and a far better choice of international flights.

The Oresund Bridge links Malmo and this part of Sweden with nearby Denmark, and as soon as it was opened in 1999, eliminated the need for ferry transport, although romantics will be pleased to find that Turasund ferries do still travel to Copenhagen several times a day. Ferries also travel to and from Malmo and the German seaside resort of Travemünde.

To obtain the latest information about bus transport in Malmo, head to the information desk at the Centralstationen, at Gustav Adolfs Torg and also at Värnhemstorget, off the Kungsgatan. Consider purchasing a Malmökortet (Malmo Card), which not only provides free and unlimited transportation on all city buses, but also allows free car parking, reduced tolls for the Oresund Bridge and free entry for many museums.
