For dining on a budget, head to the Möllevangstorget and nearby Ystadsgatan, where a range of cheap eateries reside, including a number of very reasonably priced Indian and Thai restaurants. However, most people looking to eat out in Malmo find that the cobblestone square known as the Lilla Torg (Little Square) is the best place to start. Filled with restaurants and bars, the Lilla Torg is at its most appealing during the summer months, when many tables are moved outside.

Of particular interest in Malmo is the Radhuskällaren restaurant on the Stortorget, which is actually located beneath the town hall, within its 16th-century vaulted cellar. Alternatively, another good dining option in Malmo is the Thotts Restaurang on the Ostergatan, where wild boar served with berries is a particular speciality.
